Hi, I’m Jenniffer Delgado, 37 years old, Colombian, living in The Netherlands for ten years. I live in Amersfoort with my husband and two children. I’m an electronics engineer with more than 10 years experience in industrial automation, the last couple of years working also in IIoT.
What do you do in your spare time Jenniffer?
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, I love to travel and go to the gym. I also have a square meter vegetable garden, I meet every week with a group of friends to sew and I do voluntary work with the Community of Sant Egidio.
What is your best quality?
Patience.
What was your biggest work/study blunder?
When working on a project for a truck load terminal, I changed a data structure that was documented to be used for system A (the system I was modifying) and it was actually used for system B, so it took me a lot of troubleshooting to find out why system B wasn’t working properly when this part was never changed. I should have checked first that the data structure was only used in system A before changing it. Lesson learnt!
What’s your favourite series or game?
I like a lot of series but maybe my favorite series would be Game of Thrones.
Why this job and why Ndus3?
I was looking for new challenges in Software Engineering, in Ndus3 I saw the possibility to learn a lot in different projects and develop myself.
What do you want to achieve in terms of work in the coming year?
I want to develop my software engineering skills and gain experience in more software stacks.
Which industry would you like to end up in?
I don’t have a desired industry, I’m more interested in working in projects where I can learn and be challenged.
What are we allowed to wake you up for at night?
To appreciate something extraordinary.
What are your guilty pleasures?
To spend a day alone (without children and husband) with a good book or a good series.
